DESCRIPTION:Join us for Mahashivaratri Kirtan with Divino BetSatori ( https://www.divinobetsatori.com/ ).\nWe play from 6pm to 8pm, perhaps longer, there will be other people leading before and after as well. You are welcome to arrive early.\nThis is a FREE event organized by Chris, and it’s at someone’s house in Boulder. I will then forward your email to Chris’, and he will email you back with the address and parking directions. \nMaha Shivaratri, also known as Shivaratri or Great Night of Shiva, is a Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is celebrated annually in honor of Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism, representing the destructive aspect of the Supreme Being. “Maha” means great, and “Ratri” means night, so Maha Shivaratri translates to the “Great Night of Shiva.”\nKirtan, a form of Bhakti Yoga, is a call-and-response practice that focuses on the repetition of mantras, in order to quiet the mind, and open the heart. We‘ll be singing and celebrating the many names of God, practicing in community, and remembering our divinity. No previous experience is needed, everyone is welcome!\nDivino BetSatori‘s devotional world music combines ancient wisdom with modern insight. Borrowing the best from every major religion and spiritual tradition, we share Kirtan, Medicine Music, and our original songs, which are best described as “indie-acoustic folk-rock, with hip-hop and reggae influence”. Our band is based out of Boulder, Colorado; and we travel the world on our mission to help you REMEMBER YOUR DIVINITY.\n
