Core Values:
We want the project to be:
Uplifting, Inspiring, Fun, Positive, Healing, Beautiful, Meaningful and Mindful.
The values for the project are:
Honesty, Uniqueness, Health, Beauty, Mystery, Romance, Inclusiveness, Approachability, Kindness, Knowledge, Education, Devotion, Joy, Sensitivity and Community.
Musicians Wanted:
We are looking for musicians interested in this vision. People who love our lyrics, style and vibe. We want people that want to be here for the long run, investing in the project, grinding with us.
Our goal is to create a tight group that will stick together for years to come. A tour-worthy group, by that we mean a group that can hang together, in our highest and lowest moments, long term.
Above all, we want positive people, spiritual, honest, healthy, beautiful, uplifting and grounded.
We lean towards mature and skilled musicians, with experience playing live, ages 21 to 35. Professional experience, previews band experience, and formal musical education are a plus.
Extra skills/talents/traits desired: problem-solving, marketing/branding, advertising/sales, sound recording/mixing/producing, social/networking, fun/entertaining, uplifting/positive attitude.
Instruments:
We are looking for musicians who can play multiple instruments and/or sing. We have parts for:
Violin / viola / fiddle, lead guitar (acoustic or electric), percussion (lightweight / minimalist), female backup vocals, bass guitar, keyboard / synthesizer, ukulele and harmonium, in that order.
We’ll like to start with a maximum of four musicians in the band, could grow up to six or seven. Some songs will only include two or three instruments, including vocals, most songs have more.
Sound:
We are reaching for fun, uplifting rhythms and melodies to get people dancing and singing.
To create contrast, we’ll include slower songs, leaning towards sweetness and contemplation.
Musicians are welcome to try simple and highly technical approaches to their part for the song. We will make sure to keep the sound open and gentle, prioritizing the lyrics to be heard clearly.
Over the years, we will play different styles of music, from world to folk, to rock and some rap.
We’ll aim to join forces with other artists, bringing new instruments and sounds from time to time.
We’ll play a few kirtan sets at festivals and yoga classes, as well as host our own kirtan event.
Aside from that, we’ll focus on playing original songs, exploring different styles and approaches.
Lyrics:
We’ll play songs in different languages, sometimes mixing languages in the same song.
The majority of the songs will be written in English, followed by Spanish and Sanskrit (Kirtan).
Bruno will remain the main lyricist and vocal for the band. Lyrical input from band members is welcomed and many songs in the future will be written in collaboration with other artists.
The first years of the band will focus on the 21 songs Bruno has written for Divino BetSatori.
Stage Presence:
We prefer a dynamic stage presence, showing movement, fluidity, and aliveness.
We encourage spontaneity and interaction with the audience.
Ideally, all musicians will be mic-ed.
Looks & Style:
We encourage all band members to be unique with their style and outfits while harmonizing with the band’s style and public image. We won’t wear matching outfits, unless on special occasions.
Aside from that, we want looks and outfits to reflect and convey the band’s values, including:
Love, peace, beauty, community, connection, harmony, joy, nature, spirituality, free-thinking, life.
You can see this as neo-hippie, boho, or new age. Think Boulder-based, mountain vibe yogis.
These values and styles will serve as a framework for band members to express themselves.

Please be mindful that style and clothing ain’t my forte, the visuals presented on those examples are only a reference. Think light, colorful, natural, simple, attractive, mystical, unique. We are open on hearing suggestions on this area of the band’s public image and identity.
Finances:
We prioritize our health and well-being, music comes after that, then the fans, then money.
As is usual in the music industry, this project isn’t likely to become profitable in the short run. Profitability isn’t our intention either, we would love to make a living playing music, and we also have our own means to support ourselves while we dedicate time and energy to this project. Band members must be in it for the joy and fun of sharing positive music with positive people.
We do our best to allocate resources efficiently, compensating musicians as much as possible.
Meetings, Practice, Rehearsals:
Our band will include people who love music and each other. People eager to meet and play.
We’ll start by meeting once per week for 3 hours long. Everyone is expected to be on time.
Band meeting will be run with a semi-flexible agenda and they will be something like this:
The first 30’ will be a warm-up of the songs we know, the next 30’ will be to learn new songs. We’ll have a 30-minute break to relax, eat some food and talk about band related business.
The next 60’ will be to review the songs we know and the ones we learned, think rehearsal time.
The next will 30’ minutes will be for creative time to write new songs, talk marketing, shows, etc.
The final 30’ minutes are to wrap things up, clarify any last important points, jam, kick it and rest.
Aside from that we request band member practice their parts for at least one hour per week.
Shows:
Divino BetSatori is a local Boulder band. We perform weekly at open mics and are getting ready to start booking our first gigs. We only perform original songs, covers only for special occasions.
Bruno will serve as manager during the first stages, handling all matters related to bookings. As we grow and expand another band member, friend, or professional will pick up this role.
We’ll focus on shows in Boulder and nearby cities, attending regular open mics to get exposure. Soon we’ll book our on shows, current possibilities include Laughing Goat and Farmers Market.
Eventually, we would like to play once or twice per year at Boulder Theater and/or The Fox. Red Rocks would be awesome, the Mishawaka would be amazing, Hanuman Fest is very likely. The festival scene will be another target, from transformational and yoga festivals to folk events.
We aim to play, through the year, a minimum of one and a maximum of three shows per week. Band members are encouraged to attend free shows/open-mics expected to attend paid shows.
Tours:
We’ll take on a few tours. We’ll go where the fans are, the places where we have connections. We’ll also book shows in cities we want to explore, using music as an excuse to travel there.
The first tour will be a short one around Colorado and nearby states. We are also aiming for a west coast tour, an east coast tour, and a cross-country tour as well as an international tour. The states on our target list include Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Minnesota. The order is subject to change. Band members will be expected to be available for the full length of our tours.
Merchandise:
We want to get artistic and creative with our merchandise offers. We will cover the basics:
T-shirts, tanks, hoodies, hats, key chains, glasses, tapestries, necklaces, pens, posters, stickers, belts, jewelry, art.
We are open to creative ideas on how to make more money at shows and online.
Recordings:
We have begun the process of recording and are welcoming musicians to join our efforts. Ideally, we would like to make the final tracks with band members who are in it for the long run.
We have already laid out the schedule for recording the first 21 songs from Divino BetSatori. These will be released as a series of singles and EPs.
As soon as the band is formed we’ll start composing new songs to release a full album asap.
We aim to split our time evenly between creating new songs, recording music and playing live.
We look forward to collaborating with other artists on singles, EPs and full albums.
Some of our recordings will be from live concerts and shows.
Commitment:
Attend weekly meetings, shows and occasional open mics will require 5 to 10 hours per week.
We need people committed to showing up regularly and prepared. We need reliable teammates.
It is easy to understand that those who are committed and engaged will get more over time.
This refers to financial compensation as well as leverage in decision-making processes.
We value honesty, loyalty, and passion. We want our best friends to join this group, we want people who will love these songs and this vision as much as we do. We want to build a family.
We are easy-going people, focused passionately on a beautiful project that is full of potential.
Decision-Making Process:
Everyone in the group is encouraged to speak their truth and voice their thoughts/feelings.
We want everybody’s needs to be met. We mainly use a consent decision-making process. In order to keep momentum, agility, and stability through decades in the music industry, Bruno, the founder, will reserve the final word in all matters regarding the future of the band. Read about consent decision-making process here and also here.
A Final Note by Bruno:
Divino BetSatori is my brainchild. I’m the vision steward. In a way, it represents the best of me.
It’s my baby. It might not be everyone’s baby, but if you want in, it needs to become yours.
You gotta be willing to go the 100 yards. We need people that share the same vision.
As the founder of the band and author of the songs, it’s my duty to protect the project’s integrity.
My intention is to give band members as much control as they want, deserve and can handle. We encourage musicians to write their own parts, share ideas and get involved with the project.
We want you to feel heard and valued. We want you to be invested as if the project was yours.
Don’t expect to make much money from this. If it comes, great, but it won’t be our focus.
That being said, we will be sure to compensate you financially for things that bring in revenue.
On top of that, expect awesome experiences with outstanding people in amazing places.
Our mission is to bring uplifting music and great vibes to the community.
Let’s let it be.
