We are back in the flow. Yesterday I texted my producer, Justin Buo, to schedule another recording session. This will be my second time recording using equipment other than my phone. The first time was a mess, being completely unprepared and unable to stay with the metronome. It was quite demoralizing to spend three hours on the studio and come out empty handed. A huge lesson for my musical career.
This time it’s going to be different. I am confident we’ll be able to get four tracks down for the “Show Your Love” EP. Been feeling very good about my ability to produce this music. I can’t say that I practiced more than last time, but for some reason, my confidence is higher and my skill feels “good enough” to get it done.
It’s weird how it’s all going down. A part of me always knew this was going to work out beautifully, and another part is unable to own the situation, fearful to stand up and play the part. At the end of the day, Jah Above will decide how this all plays out. For now, I am just doing my best to stay grounded, focused and on track.
