Happy Foolish Dreams Day!
In an effort to bring more love and positivity to this world, we are rebranding April 1st into “Foolish Dreams Day”. Instead of tasteless pranks, we’ll be incentivizing people to share their life dreams, and make bold moves towards them.
The genesis for this idea sprang from an initiative to refocus our attention away from shadow based behavior during some infamous holidays (i.e. St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween…), and turning these into opportunities to grow and connect in healthier ways. This is just one of the small movements powered by our new church, “All One”.
I am also using this as an opportunity to announce my upcoming crowdfunding campaign, and foreshadow the long-awaited release of our debut album: Remember Your Divinity.
This is a project we’ve been working on for two years, which I’ve mostly kept behind closed doors, as I battle my feelings of “not good enough”.
BUT, I’ve finally made the decision to release these tracks I’ve pour my soul into, and today is the first day I get back to sharing, promoting, and spreading the word about this beautiful piece of art.
With all that comes the need to update this website, and make it look more professional. That is why I am creating, among other things, a new bio page for the Divino BetSatori band.
At the same time, I didn’t want to forget such a special part of this journey I’ve been on, so I decided to copy and paste below the very first Divino BetSatori Bio, so that one day I can look back and remember our humble beginnings.
Enjoy:
We Bet on Our Divinity
Divino BetSatori is a multilingual name for a band with multilingual lyrics and variable styles.
The genre of the band is thought as “world, indie-acoustic, folk-rock, with rap & kirtan influence”.
We reach for fun, uplifting lyrics and melodies, to get people dancing and singing.
To create contrast, we include slower songs, leaning towards sweetness and contemplation.
We play songs in different languages, sometimes mixing languages in the same song.
The majority of our songs are in English, followed by Spanish and Sanskrit.
The band’s values include:
Love, peace, beauty, community, connection, harmony, joy, nature and spirituality.
Divino BetSatori is a local band in Boulder, Colorado.
We perform weekly at open mics and private homes.
We are scheduling our first shows and will be releasing tracks in January 2020.
